Overview

Clarkson University seeks to fill an ERP Programmer/Analyst position at the I, II, III, or Sr. level comenserate on experience. This role provides technical support for the development, enhancement, customization, and maintenance of our ERP Administrative Systems (PeopleSoft).

We are looking for a hands-on problem solver who can code, test, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise systems while collaborating closely with colleagues, end users, and vendors. Candidate will be placed at the appropriate level based on demonstrated knowledge and years of experience. 

 

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities (all levels)

  • Provide coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of system modifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve program and data errors.
  • Support system interfaces and integrations with internal and external systems.
  • Develop and review technical documentation and flowcharts.
  • Monitor program performance post-implementation.
  • Respond to technical inquiries and assist users with business processes.
  • Collaborate with analysts, administrators, and end users in a customer-service-focused environment.

Levels of Opportunity

 

ERP Programmer/Analyst I

Experience: Associate’s degree in IT or 3+ years of technical programming experience

Skills: SQL scripting; familiarity with SQR, PeopleSoft XML Publisher, Application Engine, Application Designer, and PeopleCode.

Focus: Provide assistance with development, troubleshooting, and documentation.

 

ERP Programmer/Analyst II

Experience: 3+ years of technical programming, preferably in higher education ERP (PeopleSoft 9.1+). Strong proficiency in SQL; knowledge of PeopleSoft tools preferred

Skills: SQL scripting; familiarity with SQR, PeopleSoft XML Publisher, Application Engine, Application Designer, and PeopleCode.

Focus: Take ownership of small development projects, coordinate migrations, and consult with users on business processes.

 

ERP Programmer/Analyst III

Experience: Minimum 3 years with PeopleSoft 9.2+ (Financials, HRMS, or Campus Solutions). Preferred 5+ years with demonstrated leadership on large projects

Skills: Advanced SQL, PeopleSoft Application Designer, Fluid development, PeopleCode, SQR, XML Publisher.

Focus: Lead technical projects, oversee vendor patching and upgrades, and act as technical lead for development initiatives.

 

ERP Senior Programmer Analyst

Experience: 3+ years with PeopleSoft 9.2+ required; 5+ years preferred, including leadership on large development and upgrade projects

Skills: Deep technical expertise with PeopleSoft tools (Application Designer, PeopleCode, SQR, Change Assistant, PUM), SQL, and workflow management.

Focus: Assist Director with managing workload of staff, assist Director in managing projects, lead system upgrades, support infrastructure, and provide solutions for critical business processes.
