This position performs a wide variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities including computing, processing, generation and distribution of payroll as well as the related reports, reconciliation of various payroll deductions and maintenance of paperwork. Must be a team player with above average time management and problem solving skills with a high degree of initiative in identifying problems & issues and planning appropriate actions. Must possess the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a high stress environment with minimal supervision. Attention to detail and strict confidentiality required. Must be able to assume Payroll Manager’s duties when needed.
Education
Minimal Qualifications: High School Diploma or Higher
Minimal Qualifications: 2-3 years payroll experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Payroll experience in a higher education setting. PeopleSoft HCM and Kronos experience.
Ability to operate complex machinery including duplicating-stuffer-sealer machine located in physical plant building
Excellent oral/written communications. Ability to build collaborative relationships with employees/students at all levels of the university, in person, by email or telephone.
