Overview

The Senior Implementation and Integration Specialist will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of major software implementations and data integration initiatives across the University’s enterprise systems, including Slate, PeopleSoft, and others. This individual will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring seamless integration of enterprise systems to support the University's strategic goals. Additionally, there will be some ad-hoc production support of the University’s enterprise systems.

 

You must reside in one of the following states to work remotely:

Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Missouri, Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, and Wisconsin.

 

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the implementation of major software systems, including enterprise resource planning (ERP), student information systems (SIS), learning management systems (LMS), and other critical applications
• In collaboration with functional leadership, develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and communication strategies while ensuring alignment with University requirements.
• Provide regular project updates to senior leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, and key milestones.
• Design and implement data integration solutions between major enterprise systems, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security.
• Analyze existing data flows, identify integration points, and develop strategies to optimize data exchange.
• Troubleshoots and provides problem resolution for data errors on integrations, ensuring seamless data flow across systems
• Provides technical assistance to Administrative Computing staff with production support of systems that have been implemented
• Creates and maintains technical documentation for systems and integrations
• Lead training sessions and workshops to educate users on new systems and processes.
• Performs other relevant duties as assigned by the Director of Administrative Computing

Qualifications

Education:
Minimal Qualifications:
• Associates’ degree in an IT related field or five (5) years of technical experience in application programming
• Knowledge and technical proficiency in SQL scripting, interface programming languages, applications, tools and utilities

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 3 years of technical experience in application programming and development in Higher Education in Technolutions Slate
• 3 years of technical experience in application programming and development in Higher Education in Oracle PeopleSoft
• Strong Proficiency in PeopleSoft Application Designer PeopleTools 8.58 or higher
• Strong Proficiency in Technolutions Slate Development

 

Experience:
Minimal Experience:
• Knowledge and technical proficiency in SQL, interface programming languages, applications, tools and utilities.
• Ability to create technical documentation and flowcharts

Essential Skills

Essential Skills:
• Expertise in programming languages and frameworks, such as Java, C#, Python, PHP, PeopleCode
• Expertise in database systems and tools, such as SQL, Oracle, or ETL
• Expertise in system integration methods and standards, such as SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, or API
• Experience in PeopleSoft Application Designer
• Experience in PeopleSoft SQR Programming
• Experience in Technolutions Slate Development and support
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to provide staff support for business and technical projects, assignments and analysis
• Ability to work independently on a day-to-day basis
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to interface with internal technical staff, client users and external vendors
• Excellent organization, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex concepts into clear and concise terms
